Post-Surgical Care
Recovering after surgery requires close medical attention, careful monitoring, and consistent support. At Andella Home Care Services, our Post-Surgical Care is structured to provide professional clinical care in the comfort of the patient’s home, helping to reduce complications, promote healing, and restore independence safely.
Our Care Process
Post-surgical care begins when a client, family member, or hospital discharge team contacts us. During this initial call, we gather key medical details including the type of surgery performed, discharge instructions, prescribed medications, mobility limitations, and immediate care needs.
We then conduct a comprehensive post-surgical assessment. A qualified nurse evaluates the patient’s vital signs, pain levels, wound condition, mobility status, medication requirements, and home environment. This assessment allows us to identify potential risks such as infection, delayed healing, or reduced mobility.
Based on the assessment, our clinical team prepares a short, structured care report. This report outlines the recommended post-surgical care plan, nursing interventions, recovery goals, monitoring schedule, and duration of care. Once approved, we deploy a licensed nurse or trained caregiver with the appropriate post-operative experience.
